Our mission is to help writers Get On the Page, Find a Home for Their Writing, and to Give Back To the Community through workshops and content.
Writer Zen Garden began in 2008. We launched a popular Meetup group and then a website, Facebook page, Twitter, and in-person annual retreat.
Due to the impacts of COVID-19, we have ceased in-person groups, but hope to bring them back when it is safe to do so. In the meantime, we are putting our energy toward building our online communities and course offerings.
Writer Zen Garden is committed to inclusivity and open dialog about writing. We are deeply grateful to our diverse community and strive to make a safe space for discussion and self expression. Hate has no home here. We call the area home that is part of the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples, who have lived here for thousands of years.
