Happy April! You know what April 1st brings?
THE A TO Z CHALLENGE AND CAMP NANO!
It’s also, apparently, letter writing month AND poetry month. And no, that’s not April Fool’s! It is Spring, though, and I’m guessing that’s what’s in the air. Plus, we’ve all been dealing with heavy stuff, right? The war, pandemic, climate crisis…
Well, we can’t fix all that. But we CAN play with some creativity, and for the next month, that’s what I invite you to do, too. We’ve got some great posts in store for you: tips for when you feel blocked, travel, mythology, and even poetry.
Check back each day except Sunday for the Writer Zen Garden A to Z Challenge! And remember to visit other participating blogs – this is a global challenge and there’s so much knowledge and creativity out there, you won’t know what hit you. Perhaps it will inspire YOU to be creative with us, TOO!
Check in below in the comments and let us know where you’re writing from and what you are most excited for this Spring. We’d love to know!
Write on!

That’s a good start. I am participating this year by sharing a limerick, a baseball slugger and a starting word for wordle. Good luck on the challenge!
Thank you, Dave! Wow, those are very different things. I can’t wait to see how you use them!
Best wishes for a fantastic challenge!
Thanks for the inspiring introduction! I’m looking forward to being part of this challenge. And I LOVE the wonderful cat photo!!!! :>)
Thank you, Laura! I’m so glad you like the photo. I love finding appropriate funny pictures for my posts; many times, they’re cats – though not always. ~typity~
April is busy for sure and Im not forgetting the gardening duties (hopefully).
This month my story is set in Ukraine – 2022. I wrote the original story while I lived in Ukraine (2007). Happy April!
The Letter A
Very timely subject. So heartbreaking what’s happening there.
I can’t wait to start gardening! We’re in the cleanup phase of our work at the moment. 🙂

Happy A to Z!!
Love the cat photo.
And I didn’t realize that April was letter-writing month. I am one of those rare creatures who actually *does* write letters, so perhaps that will inspire me. 🙂
Have fun with your A-to-Z!
Thank you, Mrs. Fever! I love cat photos.
For letters, were you a part of Letter Writers Alliance? They’ve gathered on FB even though the group is defunct. You can also find good partners at lettermo.com, even though “Lettermo” (or Month of Letters) is in February. I also do Postcrossing and Victorian Letter Writers Guild. Fun stuff.
Off to a great start Catherine!
This is a great beginning, thanks Noony. And you’re right, in the midst of this chaotic world, great to experience some creativity! Rock on…
Great antroduction! I’m looking forward to reading all of the awesome (pawsome?) submissions.
